Britannia brings something new to the Caribbean

Take a sneaky peek at three exciting new additions to our glorious Caribbean fly-cruise holiday collection

We’re adding an exciting twist to our 2016/17 Caribbean fly-cruise holiday collection with three brand-new itineraries. Our newest ship, Britannia, will cruise the sun-drenched Caribbean islands on one 14-night and two 7-night holidays, departing from either the beautiful island of St Lucia or Barbados.

With their soft, sandy beaches, turquoise seas and bustling local markets, the Caribbean is home to some of the world’s best-loved holiday spots. The itineraries pack in as many different must-see destinations as possible – four on a 7-night cruise and eight on a 14-night cruise, including an overnight stay in Barbados. And they all offer a healthy mix of port and sea days, so there’s still plenty of time to make the most of everything Britannia has to offer – including its unique Cookery Club, the luxurious Oasis Spa and the glamorous Limelight Club.

14-night Caribbean fly-cruise holiday
From sun-soaked St Lucia, the first port of call is Roseau, Dominica – an island of untamed rainforests, bubbling sulphur springs and coral reefs, where you might even spot a whale if you’re lucky. Then it’s on to Antigua, which boasts more than 365 immaculate white beaches, while its cruise port, St John, is a vibrant shopping hub with some fine historic sites.

At Philipsburg, the next port of call, and the capital of the Dutch half of St Maarten, you can wander through a warren of narrow streets, full of Caribbean ‘gingerbread’ houses and leafy courtyard cafés. Or take a tour to the French side of the island, St Martin, for a little ‘je ne sais quoi’.

You’ll spend a night in Bridgetown, the lively capital of Barbados, with plenty of time for a relaxing beach break, a fascinating nature walk or a round of golf at an exclusive resort. This island offers a unique mix of pristine, five-star luxury and rugged, untamed natural beauty, while in Bridgetown you’ll find intriguing signs of its British colonial past.

The journey continues on to cosmopolitan Curacao, which boasts a diverse landscape and a melting pot of cultures. Its capital and cruise port, the UNESCO-recognised Willemstad, plays host to a thriving business hub and is teeming with history and brightly coloured Dutch architecture.

From here, your next port of call is Aruba for more glorious beaching or a leisurely stroll around its compact, waterfront capital, Oranjestad, which is a paradise for both keen shoppers and adventurous foodies alike. St Georges in Grenada is the penultimate port of call – the ‘Spice Island’, where the air is scented with nutmeg and the people are some of the friendliest you’ll meet in the Caribbean. And finally Kingstown, St Vincent, which also has its fair share of stunning sandy beaches, beautifully blue water and verdant rainforest for hearty hikes. You’ll then return to St Lucia to catch your flight home.

7-night Caribbean fly-cruise holiday
If you’re pushed for time, we’re also offering two great 7-night Caribbean fly-cruise holidays. You can either join the cruise from St Lucia to Barbados, visiting Dominica, Antigua and St Maarten, or from Barbados back to St Lucia, visiting Curacao, Aruba, Grenada and St Vincent.

All three new itineraries offer a great opportunity to tick off some must-see destinations while you soak up the warm and guaranteed Caribbean sun. Plus, we make it easy for you to get the most out of almost every port of call with organised Shore Excursions, which offer a safe and secure way to explore without having to worry about watching the clock.

The new 7-night and 14-night Caribbean cruises will be on sale for the Baltic, Ligurian and Caribbean tiers of our Peninsular Club from 8am on Wednesday 14 October, and on general sale from 8am on Thursday 15 October 2015. Availability is limited.
