Like to escape the usual routine on holiday? Then you’ll love the flexibility of Freedom Dining. Opt for an early dinner one night and a late supper the next; you can shape each day as you please.

With Freedom Dining you'll still enjoy the special ambience and sociable atmosphere of a main dining room, with a five-course menu (six-course on Gala Nights). The difference from Club Dining is that this option allows you the flexibility to turn up at selected restaurants anytime you choose between 18:00 and 21:30, with whom you like, and every effort will be made to accommodate you.


Freedom Dining is included in your fare when you book a Select Price. Just opt for it when making your Select Price booking.

Where variety is the spice of life!

Choice abounds in our buffet restaurant. And Britannia’s will offer some innovations including a live cooking station for pancakes, omelettes and noodles, a coffee bar and a dedicated salad counter.


Dine around the clock - Late night snacks are available from buffet restaurants between 10pm and 6am. The menu for these late night buffet options changes each day however, examples may include: Self service sandwich bar, ready made paninis, homemade cakes, biscuits and pastries.


This dining option is included in the price of your holiday.

Dining with children?

A designated children's tea will be provided in the Horizon restaurant between 17:00 - 18:00, parental supervision is required. Further details and menus will be available on board.

Sit down to an indulgent treat for the senses. Inspired by Eric’s worldwide travels, we’ve taken the great British tradition of Afternoon Tea to decadent new places. Intricately rendered and carefully prepared, you’ll be presented with a cake stand laden with intriguing delights. Savour mouth-watering moments indulging in savoury porcini and pancetta éclairs or curried crab tartlets, plus sweeter bites including pistachio petit choux with red berries and orange blossom, bee pollen scones and saffron and mango verrine. And the all-essential tea? A thirst-quenching collection of 12 blends courtesy of teapigsTM.

The Cookery Club - a great way to learn from the best in the business

Calling all lovers of cooking – whether you’re a whizz in the kitchen or a complete beginner, The Cookery Club has a whole menu of classes to tempt you. It’s a fantastic opportunity to get hands-on in our state-of-the-art kitchen, being guided by our talented team of friendly, professional chefs. You could even learn from the godfather of British cooking himself –Marco Pierre White. As patron of The Cookery Club and one of our Food Heroes, Marco holds hosted masterclasses and hosted dinners when he’son board. Even when he’s not with us, you can still learn to cook and present Marco’s dishes, as our chefs host Unmistakably Marco Classes and Unmistakably Marco Dinners to give you the inside track on his recipes and techniques. Cooking done, it’s time to tuck in and enjoy the delicious food you’ve created. Places are limited, so make sure you book early.


Participants must be aged 18 or over, but keen cooks aged 16 and 17 years old may attend any class with an adult. Only family classes are open to participants aged under 16.

Once you've booked your Britannia cruise you can see what classes will be available on your cruise and book your place via cruise personaliser from 120 days before your cruise departs. Places are strictly limited to 24 per class, this includes one low level wheelchair accessible station, we advise you to book as early as possible before your cruise to avoid disappointment. Please note cookery classes will vary per cruise.
